MentorVet Tech Expands National Support for Veterinary Technicians with 300 Scholarships in 2025, Supported by NAVTA, AVMA, Royal Canin, and Merck Animal Health
NAVTA, AVMA, Merck Animal Health, Royal Canin, and MentorVet have announced a groundbreaking collaboration to support the wellbeing and professional growth of veterinary technicians. This new partnership will provide 300 fully funded scholarships for MentorVet Tech, an evidence-based mentorship and professional development program designed to help veterinary technicians thrive in their careers.
IndeVets Partners with MentorVet to Provide Robust Mentor Training Program
In the initial pilot, 10 veterinarians within IndeVets will participate in MentorVet Lift, a yearlong mentor certification program. Designed using evidence-based mentoring practices, MentorVet Lift develops mentors by providing self-paced online learning, monthly facilitated peer support meetings with fellow mentors, and a capstone project to create and evaluate intentional mentorship structures.
ACVIM Partners with MentorVet and Chewy Health to Launch Mentorship Program for New Diplomates
The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and MentorVet have partnered to deliver a new mentorship program: MentorVet Lead for New Diplomates. The program is sponsored by Chewy Health, the dedicated healthcare arm of Chewy, which funded the development of this exciting new program and plans to provide scholarships to participants on an ongoing basis. Designed for ACVIM Diplomates who have become Board-certified in the past five years, MentorVet Lead will deliver the peer support, coaching, and mentorship needed by new ACVIM specialists to thrive.
MentorVet launching new mentor certificate program, MentorVet Lift, in 2024.
MentorVet will launch a new pilot program beginning January 2024 to support and grow mentors in the veterinary medicine community. Providing quality mentoring is vital, and MentorVet Lift was designed to ripple out evidence-based mentoring practices.
After Successful Pilot, AASV Offers 5 Additional Scholarships for MentorVet Leap for Spring 2024
The American Association of Swine Veterinarians and MentorVet collaborated in the Spring of 2023 to offer 5 full scholarships to swine veterinarians early in their careers. After a successful pilot, AASV has now approved funding of 5 additional scholarships for early-career swine vets to participate in the 2024 MentorVet Leap program.

Evidence Shows That Rapidly Growing National Veterinary Mentorship Program Promotes Early-Career Wellbeing
MentorVet, a rapidly growing entity that leverages evidence-based approaches to empower individuals to thrive within veterinary medicine, has just released their yearly impact report revealing that their flagship program, the MentorVet Program, supported over 200 early-career veterinarians over the past year. This report highlighted evidence that after completing the program, MentorVet participants had a significantly higher average wellbeing level as compared to a control group.

Royal Canin and Merck Animal Health Support MentorVet by Awarding 20 Scholarships to Veterinarians in the Pawsibilities Vet Med Community
Royal Canin USA and Merck Animal Health have joined forces to award 20 full veterinary scholarships as part of the Spring 2022 MentorVet program. The scholarships will directly benefit early-career veterinarians in Pawsibilities Vet Med, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mentoring platform that aims to proactively increase all forms of diversity within the veterinary profession.
MentorVet Wins Fifth Annual VMX Pet Pitch Competition
Lexington-based MentorVet won the fifth annual VMX Startup Pet Pitch Competition, a highlight of the North American Veterinary Community’s (NAVC) veterinary conference and expo. More than 35 companies applied to the VMX Startup Circle which highlights young and innovative startups offering products and solutions to the veterinary industry. Five finalists were invited to pitch their new products in front of a panel of judges at the Pet Pitch Competition held Sunday, January 16 on the VMX Expo Floor.
