MentorVet Lead for New Diplomates
Scholarship Application
Designed to help veterinarians thrive, MentorVet Lead is an evidence-based program that delivers the peer support, coaching, and mentorship you need in your early career as a new Diplomate.
Fifteen full scholarships to participate in the program are available to ACVIM Diplomates boarded in the past five years thanks to the generous support of Chewy Health.
MentorVet Lead
This six-month virtual mentorship and professional development program aims to promote wellbeing by providing a combination of training in professional skills, financial and mental health coaching, and mentorship. The six-month program will begin on September 15, 2024 and extend until March 15, 2025.
Scholarship Qualifications
Applicant must be able to dedicate around four hours per month during the six-month program.
Applicant must be an ACVIM Diplomate and member boarded in the past five years.
Program Highlights
Complete five online self-paced learning modules focused on professional skills such as stress management, leadership, mentorship, team building, and financial coaching and budgeting.
Once a month, upon completion of each module, you’ll meet virtually with fellow early career specialists to discuss module content, compare in-practice experiences, and deepen your understanding of how to apply lessons learned.
If desired, meet with our mental health and financial coach to get individualized support.
If desired, pair up with a mentor to get one-on-one mentorship and support.
The program extends from September 15, 2024 to March 15, 2025.
