MentorVet Leap
Scholarship Program for Veterinary Medical Associations

Generously supported by Chewy Health

As a new veterinarian, you’ve followed your calling to support the health and well-being of animals. While the rewards of your chosen profession are plenty, the transition into practice life can be challenging.

Designed to help early-career veterinarians thrive, MentorVet Leap is an evidence-based program that delivers the peer support, coaching, and mentorship you need to ease into your chosen profession. A recent VMA participant in the program shared:

"I have found the ways of approaching and handling conflict very helpful - both in my personal life and professional life. I also found value in identifying my core values, something I didn’t even know I had within me. It is helpful to explain to colleagues and clients and to find my why. My mentor reaching out and offering me resources to help out both with cases and with my reaction to hardships in the clinic setting was really helpful, too. I have most enjoyed that I now understand I am not alone and we are all going through the same problems, they just might look slightly different in each clinic setting. I would recommend MentorVet Leap to new grads and early career vets. It is something I didn’t know I needed in my life during my first couple of months of practice. It has been so helpful talking to other newer graduates going through similar experiences."

Once again we are excited to be offering full scholarships for MentorVet Leap in the Spring of 2025 to early-career vets thanks to the generous support of our sponsor, Chewy Health.
